National Pro Fastpitch adds enhanced digital coverage with Bleacher Report Live
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — National Pro Fastpitch will add additional streaming coverage beginning with Thursday’s regular season action from Wichita, Kansas. The league announced Bleacher Report Live (B/R Live) — Turner Sports’ new premium sports streaming platform — will provide live coverage for the matchup between t he Aussie Spirit and Chicago Bandits. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. from Wilkins Softball Complex on the campus of Wichita State University.
NPF will provide six regular season games to the streaming platform in 2018 sprinkled over the months of June, July and August.
“We are very much looking forward to placing the exciting, fast-paced action of the NPF on B/R Live this summer,” NPF commissioner Cheri Kempf said. “We continue to see the attraction and enthusiasm fans have for this incredible sport and we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to help launch the B/R OTT sports platform right out of the gate.”
B/R Live is the central hub for both the discovery and consumption of live sports content. The streaming service, launched in April, allows fans to find and watch their favorite sports content anywhere, anytime and on the screen of their choice. Although B/R Live is a subscription-based product by design, NPF fans will be able to watch content this season for free.
The league opened May 19 and has seen all five teams open action in home venues over the past three weeks. Regular season league action will include 120 total games and a best of five Championship Series. The NPF Championship Series will be held August 16-20 at Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Illinois.
Every game will be livestreamed on various platforms throughout the season, including NPFTV. The league celebrates its 15th anniversary with the 2018 season.
