ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Chicago Bandits have released right-handed pitcher Breanna Wonderly from the active roster, team officials announced on Friday morning.
Wonderly, an undrafted rookie from Illinois, signed a one-year contract with the Bandits on June 5, 2017. The Centerview, Missouri resident made 12 appearances in the circle, including one start, and compiled a 2.58 ERA.
“We’d like to thank Breanna for all her contributions during the 2017 season,” Bandits general manager Toni Calmeyn said. “We wish her the best of luck moving forward.”
During her collegiate career in Urbana-Champaign, Wonderly amassed 45 appearances and helped guide the Illini to consecutive tournament berths for the first time since 2009-10.
